She sets cryptic crosswords for a national newspaper, which means she spends her days hiding filthy double meanings in harmless-looking clues, and her evenings painting in the attic of her honey-coloured townhouse.
She divorced amicably a long time ago and has been happily alone since, apart from the occasional affair she describes as 'a short clue with a long answer'. Her camera roll is rooftops, half-finished canvases and the odd glasses-on selfie she takes to check the light.
